Reverie

As a mixed media artist, creating a collage feels to me very much like piecing together memories of worlds and experiences, of bringing buried fragments to the light.

I believe that there is a profound relationship between art and healing. Healing is ever pervading. The world is in a constant state of mending, and we are always being called to creatively participate in this process – to hold up a mirror, to share our likenesses, our frailties, our truths.

I fully believe that we are all on the journey home to the self, to realise that our essence is contained within all that is about us, whether it is a piece of paper transformed into a flower on a collage board, or a vibrant pink sky warmed by the setting sun. These are all pieces of our light, our uniqueness waiting to be seen, waiting to light up the world.

My art is created with this theme in mind – the return to the self and to finding the true voice.

I have always been drawn to cut up art and poetry and to the concept of how when we piece together objects and materials, they find a home, a place together, guided by an invisible hand.

This I believe is our true essence recreating itself in all that we do – our oneness and wholeness.
